Camp Description
Mixed Media is used to described artworks composed of a combination of different materials and this could be a wide range of items. Because it is a continuously evolving form, mixed media allows for a liberty of expression, and often emphasizes process as much as product.
Elite University Summer Camps is proud to continue to offer Mixed Media Art camps for kids! What makes an awesome art class? Art class not only educates students with art history and technique, art students learn what art expression speaks to them.
Activities Include:
- Painting, drawing, photography, and sketching
- Daily Art Projects
- Field Trip to Blanton Museum of Art

Daily Activity Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 8:45 AM CHECK IN
- 9:00 AM CAMP BEGINS
- 9:00 AM INTRODUCTION NEW ART TERMS
- 9:30 AM SPLIT INTO GROUPS FOR TEAM ART PROJECT
- 10:30 AM STUDENTS PRESENT WORK FOR REVIEW
- 10:45 AM INTRODUCTION SECOND PROJECT
- 11:45 AM TIME TO CLEAN UP AND STORE WORK
- 12:00 PM LUNCH
After lunch ALL campers will be placed into age groups and will participate in counselor led activities.
- 1:00 PM PHYS-ED, MUSIC, S.T.E.M., OR ART
- 2:00 PM SELF REGULATED STUDENT – LED GAMES
- 3:00 PM OUTSIDE PLAY
- 4:00 PM QUIET REFLECTIVE TIME
- 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM PARENT PICK UP

Elite USC is excited to bring our campers to visit the Blanton Museum! As the primary art collection for the city of Austin, the Blanton Museum of Art is a major resource for the community. With more than 19,000 works in the collection, the Blanton showcases art from across the ages, from ancient greek pottery to abstract expressionism. With a year-round schedule of traveling exhibitions, art lovers are sure to discover new and old favorites at the Blanton.
