Camp Wildheart is an action-packed adventure camp for kids who love the outdoors and hands-on challenges. River Oaks campers will enjoy swimming, archery, fishing, kayaking, and a fun challenge-style obstacle course designed to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience. With a balance of physical activity, outdoor exploration, and supportive guidance, Camp Wildheart gives adventurous campers a safe, exciting space to move, explore, and push themselves while having an unforgettable summer experience.

Kinder Lake • Discovery Green (Houston)

Campers enjoy a unique outdoor adventure kayaking on Kinder Lake, right in the heart of downtown Houston. This guided experience introduces basic paddling skills, balance, and water awareness as campers explore the calm waters surrounded by the city skyline.

Life vests are provided, safety guidelines are reviewed before entering the water, and the activity is fully supervised—making it a fun, safe, and memorable way for campers to build confidence and enjoy the outdoors at one of Houston’s most iconic parks.

Infinite Gaming • On Campus

Get ready for an action-packed twist on archery! Led by Infinite Gaming, Archery Tag combines teamwork, strategy, and movement in a fast-paced, on-campus game. Campers use foam-tipped arrows and lightweight bows to play exciting group challenges that emphasize communication, problem-solving, and friendly competition.

All equipment is provided, safety rules are clearly explained, and games are fully supervised—making this a thrilling yet safe experience for all skill levels. Expect lots of laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable fun.

Quillian Memorial Park • Houston Memorial 

There is no better way to beat the heat than by taking a refreshing dip in the pool. Our little ones will enjoy the Noah’s Ark Splash Pad and our older campers will enjoy the Big Pool featuring thrilling slides! Quillian Center is the place to be this summer! Voted one of the best pools by Great Day Houston. All campers will have to undergo a swim test to swim in the Big Pool area. All swimming will be supervised by Elite University Summer Camps staff and Quillian Memorial’s lifeguards.

Ninja Obstacle Course • Iron Sports (Katy)

Campers take on an exciting ninja-style obstacle course designed to build strength, agility, balance, and confidence. Guided by trained staff, participants navigate climbing elements, hanging obstacles, balance challenges, and timed course runs—all tailored to different ages and ability levels.

Safety instruction is provided before each session, equipment is professionally maintained, and the experience is fully supervised, making this a thrilling yet supportive challenge that encourages perseverance, teamwork, and fun movement.

Fishing • Bane Park 

Campers enjoy a guided fishing experience at Bane Park led by an Elite instructor. Participants learn the fundamentals of fishing—including casting, reeling, baiting hooks, and water safety—through hands-on instruction in a calm, supportive outdoor setting.

All instruction is age-appropriate, safety guidelines are reviewed before fishing begins, campers are supervised throughout the activity, and all fishing equipment is provided—making this a relaxing and confidence-building experience that encourages focus, patience, and appreciation for the outdoors.

What Is Camp Wildheart?

Camp Wildheart is an outdoor, adventure styled summer camp provided by Elite University Summer Camps. Camp Wildheart is designed for kids who love to swim, move, and learn through in person physical experiences.

How Many Field Trips Does Camp Wildheart Camp Provide?

Camp Wildheart provides four field trips. Swimming, Kayaking, Ninja Obstacle Course and Fishing. Archery Tag is held on campus. 

Are Field Trips Included In The Tuition?

Yes, all field trips and experiences are included in the tuition.

How Is Transportation Handled For Field Trips?

All transporation for Water Sports Camp is coordinated and supervised by Elite University Summer Camps. Campers travel together by chartered bus to and from off-site field trips. Transportation costs are included in tuition, and buses are drived by licensed, insured drivers. Camp staff are present at all times performing roll calls before boarding, after boarding, and during scheduled activities while off campus.

Where Do Campers Depart From Each Morning?

Campers are dropped off each morning at their Elite University Summer Camp location. All daily departures and returns, including field trip days, take place from the camp site. 

Can Parents Drop-Off or Pick-Up At Field Trip Locations?

No. For safety and supervision purposes, all campers must depart from and return to their Elite University Summer Camps location. Parent not drop off or pick up at field trip locations is not permitted.

What Is The Staff To Camper Ratio?

Our staff-to-camper ratio is 8:1. All field trips are supervised by trained camp counselors who oversee small groups, along with a dedicated Field Trip Director to ensure safety, organization, and accountability throughout the day.

What Are Elite's Safety Practices For Water Based Field Trips?

All campers participating in Water Sports Activities and Swimming will be required to wear a life jacket. When campers attend swimming field trips students will be divided into age groups and will undergo a swim test. If your child passes they will be allowed swim in the deeper areas of the pool. All students that do not pass the swim test will be allow to swim in the shallow areas of the pool and participate in the areas designated for younger campers. All water sports camps will be accompanied by certified lifeguards should any incidents occur.

Are Staff Trained In Offsite Supervision And Emergency Procedures?

Yes. All staff are trained in offsite supervision, emergency procedures, CPR First Aid, and reconizing the signs of heat exhaustion. Staff are trained to monitor hydration, provide regular, water breaks, and adjust activities as needed to keep campers safe.

Are Activities Led By Certified And Professional Instructors?

Yes. Activities are led by professional instructors and staff at each field trip destination. Elite University Summer Camps carefully selects field trip locations that meet high safety and operational standards. Elite U staff remain present at all times to supervise campers and support safety and behavior.

How Does Elite Handle Heat, Weather, Or Rain?

Camper safety comes first. Staff actively monitor heat and weather conditions throughout the week with special attention to Houston summer temperatures. Camp schedules may be adjusted due to inclement weather. Rather than cancel the event for the day we will elect to change the desination to an indoor facility. All activites are planned to provide frequent hydration breaks, utilizing shaded, or indoor spaces, and schedule modification as needed to keep campers safe. Parents will be notified the week of if there are any changes to the schedule and locations due to inclement weather.

What Ages Is Camp Wildheart Best Suited For?

Camp Wildheart is designed for campers ages 7 – 13. Activities are age-appropriate and accessible for a range of experience levels. Because swimming is included, campers should be comfortable swimmers.

What Do Campers Need To Bring Each Day?

• Backpack
