Camp Description
Energy! Energy! Energy! This year our robotics campers will be focusing on different forms of energy to answer the question: How does this work? What is the most efficient source of energy: solar, wind, hydraulic, or compression? Activities include creating robotic crafts, studying various sources of energy, and group projects.

Daily Activity Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 8:45 AM CHECK IN
- 9:00 AM CAMP BEGINS
- 9:00 AM LECTURE AND DISCUSSION
- 9:30 AM SPLIT INTO GROUPS FOR LEGO BUILDING SESSION
- 11:00 AM SMALL GROUP PRESENTATION
- 11:15 AM PARTNERED BUILDING CHALLENGE
- 11:45 AM REVIEW
- 12:00 PM LUNCH
After lunch ALL campers will be placed into age groups and will participate in counselor led activities.
- 1:00 PM PHYS-ED, MUSIC, S.T.E.M., OR ART
- 2:00 PM SELF REGULATED STUDENT – LED GAMES
- 3:00 PM OUTSIDE PLAY
- 4:00 PM QUIET REFLECTIVE TIME
- 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM PARENT PICK UP
WEDNESDAY Field Trip
The Thinkery • 1830 Simond Ave Austin, Texas 78723 • 9:00 PM – 12:00 PM
Campers will be bussed to The Thinkery from Elite U Summer Camp. Thinkery is where Austin’s children and their families come to enjoy play-based, inquiry-rich, hands-on learning experiences. In 1983, a group of Austin parents and educators created a space to provide innovative new educational and cultural opportunities to local children. Over the next three decades and rooted deeply in its commitment to supporting a thriving Austin community, the Austin Children’s Museum would grow and evolve into Thinkery, which today offers 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor activities for children and families to learn through play. It is recommended that students bring $20 to all field trips.
