Camp Outback
CAMP DESCRIPTION
The Elite University Summer Camp’s Camp Outback was designed to provide a week of active, traditional, summer, fun! Elite Campers will spend five days engaging in the following activities: Horseback Riding, Rock Wall Climbing, Archery, Hiking, Kayaking, and Swimming. Each day campers will be bussed to a different location to have professional instruction in the activity of the day! Space is limited register today.
Horseback Riding & Archery
XLR8 Ranch • 100 Plum Creek Ln Dripping Springs, TX 78620
Campers will be bussed from the Elite U Steiner Ranch Campus to XLR8 Ranch Farms to participate in Horseback Riding and Archery activities. Campers will learn all bout their horses, how they are cared for, and how they are ridden. Children will also be taught about horseback riding safety and taken for a trail ride with XLR8 Ranch staff. While some campers are on their trail ride, others will participate in archery and target sport activities with our archery coach from Elite University Summer Camps!
Rock Wall Climbing
Crux Climbing Center • 121 Pickle Rd #100 Austin, Texas 78704
Elite U Campers will be bussed to the Crux Climbing Gym for this fun filled field trip. Indoor climbing does more than help kids get active in a fun encouraging environment. Climbing also boosts children’s self-esteem, ability to focus, and drive towards accomplishment. Campers will learn the basics of rock climbing which includes: basic technique, movement, and efficiency, climbing grading systems, how to top rope belay, training techniques as well as injury prevention.
Hiking
West Cave Outdoor Discovery Center • 24814 Hamilton Pool Rd, Round Mountain, TX 78663
Campers will be bussed from Elite U Steiner Ranch Campus to West Cave Outdoor Discovery Trip for a hiking trip through the beautiful this wildlife-rich conservation sanctuary. Campers will be taken on a guided hiking tour through the center. This sanctuary is home to a canyon waterfall, a wet grotto, and Savannah trails, plus many wild animals they will be able to view from afar.
Kayaking & Paddle Boarding
Rowing Dock • 2418 Stratford Dr. Austin, TX 78746
Campers will be bussed from St. Lukes on the Lake to Rowing Dock in Austin for a day of various water activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming. Rowing Dock is located on the beautiful Lady Bird Lake. Campers will be required to wear lifejackets and supervised by Rowing Dock & Elite U staff members.
Swimming
Campers will be bussed from Camp Steiner Ranch to Volente Beach Water Park for a fun filled day of swimming, waterslides, and waves. Students will be supervised and guided in small groups around the waterpark to participate in water activities.
