COVID-19 SUMMER CAMP GUIDELINES

Maintaining a COVID-19 Free Camp

  • Every child must be negative for COVID-19 before attending camp.
  • All staff will be tested for COVID-19 and must be negative before attending camp.
  • All campers and staff members must have their temperature taken and have a temperature of less than 100.4 before being allowed to enter the building each day

Circle Drive Drop – Off and Pick – Up

  • Parents will not be allowed to enter the building
  • Parents will be assigned a designated number and students will be placed into cars by a staff member during drop off and pick up.

Small Numbers

  • Only allowing 30 students to attend per week
  • Maintaining a staff of 3-4
  • 10:1 Student Teacher Ratio

Teaching / Play Spaces

  • We are utilizing two classrooms, the kitchen, and the fellowship hall
  • We will be taking children to the field behind the church to play as well as across the street to Hermann Park
  • Students will stay inside their classrooms for classroom activities.
  • We will be utilizing the fellowship hall for activates such as Karate, Fencing, Gymnastics, and PE to provide adequate space for the children.

Meal Plan Deliveries

  • Meals will be delivered by Panera Bread
  • Snacks will be delivered by local grocers: Costco or Sams
  • Delivery Personnel will not be allowed into the church

One Camp Per Week

  • Adventure Camps are canceled
  • All students registered must be registered for the Speciality Camp offered that week.

Cleanliness

  • All spaces and materials will be disinfected on a daily basis
  • We will be teaching students about maintaining clean spaces and will be encouraging them to assist where appropriate.
  • We will be enforcing hand washing and teaching proper social distancing practices

What are the guidelines to determine who is allowed to enter the building?

  • Prohibit any person except the following from accessing an operation: operation staff; persons with legal authority to enter, including law enforcement officers, HHSC Child Care Licensing staff, and Department of Family and Protective Services staff; professionals providing services to children; children enrolled at the operation; and parents who have children enrolled and present at the operation.
  • Before allowing entry into the operation, screen all of the individuals listed above, including taking the temperature of each person upon arrival at the operation each day, and deny entry to any person who meets any of the following criteria:
  • A temperature of 100.4°F or above;
  • Signs or symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as a cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, and low-grade fever;
  • In the previous 14 days has had contact with someone with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19; is under investigation for COVID-19; or is ill with a respiratory illness; or
